How we may assist
- Receive factual information about the proposed visit, applicant location and any previous application or refusal
- Identify that the enquiry concerns a visitor route and whether an urgent date has been stated
- Signpost or refer the enquirer to an appropriately authorised immigration provider
- Forward key documents to the authorised provider with consent where this is purely administrative
When this service may be useful
- You are considering a UK Standard Visitor application for tourism, family visits or another permitted visit purpose.
- A visitor application has been refused and you need an authorised adviser to assess the decision and available options.
- You want to know where to obtain regulated advice before making a new visit application.
What you can expect
We focus on the specific legal task you want completed. We review the available information, identify any important date, clarify the outcome you are seeking and then confirm the proposed work before substantive time is incurred.
- Visit-route signposting
- Authorised-provider referral where available
- Deadline flagging from information you provide
- Administrative document forwarding where lawful
How the referral process works
- Tell us the broad issue: identify the visa, status, Home Office decision or protection issue if you know it, and tell us any deadline.
- Factual routing only: we use the information only to identify the broad category and appropriate regulated route; we do not assess legal merits or eligibility.
- Signposting or referral: we may direct you to the IAA Adviser Finder or, with your consent, refer you to a suitable authorised provider where a referral route is available.
- Separate acceptance: the authorised provider independently decides whether it can accept your matter and completes its own checks and client-care process.
- Advice and fees come from that provider: substantive immigration advice, application preparation, representations or appeal work are then supplied under that provider’s separate retainer.
Immigration enquiries: referral-only fee position
Phrasing Legal does not charge for initial immigration routing, general signposting or an authorised-provider referral. Phrasing Legal does not provide substantive immigration advice, application preparation, representations or appeal work. If you choose to instruct the authorised provider, that provider will confirm its own scope, regulatory protections and charges directly.
Official information is available from the SRA immigration work guidance, the Immigration Advice Authority and the IAA Adviser Finder.
| Visit visa routing / authorised-provider referral | No charge |
| Case-specific visitor advice or application work | Quoted separately by the authorised provider |
Scope and regulatory limits
Phrasing Legal does not advise whether you meet the visitor requirements, what evidence will satisfy the Home Office, whether to reapply or challenge a refusal, or how representations should be framed. Those questions require advice from the separately instructed authorised provider.
Whether an activity is reserved or separately regulated depends on the substance of the work, not merely the name used for the service. We therefore assess the requested task before accepting instructions.
