AUTHORISED NEXT STEP

When a regulated law firm is required

If this matter needs formal regulated representation, possible referral routes may include Lexnova Solicitors LLP (SRA No. 8008259) or Solomon Ross Solicitors (SRA No. 668302), subject to suitability, your informed choice and each firm’s independent acceptance.

You are not required to use either firm. Any referral is subject to your informed consent and the receiving firm’s independent conflict, onboarding, competence and risk checks. The receiving firm issues its own client-care letter, confirms its own fees and regulatory protections, and does not become responsible for your matter or any deadline until it expressly accepts instructions.

How it works

  1. Send the essentials: a concise summary, the key document and any deadline.
  2. Suitability check: we assess whether the requested task falls within our lawful and professional scope.
  3. Scope and price: we confirm what is included, important exclusions, who will undertake or supervise the work and the fee or charging basis.
  4. Advice or drafting: we complete the agreed work and explain the practical next step.
  5. Referral where required: if reserved, separately regulated or specialist work is needed, we explain that clearly rather than extending the service beyond its proper scope.

Guide fees for this service

These guide prices apply to clearly defined work of ordinary complexity. Before substantive work begins, we confirm the task, the person providing or supervising it and the price or charging basis in writing. Your written quote will confirm the VAT treatment and the total price payable before substantive work begins. Please complete the VAT setting in Appearance → Customise for a definitive public statement.

Straightforward single will £250–£350
Straightforward mirror wills for a couple £400–£550
Existing will review £150–£250
Letter of wishes £100–£175

Urgency, unusually large document volumes, additional conferences or work outside the agreed scope may require a revised quote. We will normally agree that with you before carrying out the additional work.

Scope and regulatory limits

Will writing itself is generally unreserved, but Phrasing Legal does not prepare the papers on which an application for or opposition to a grant of probate is founded. We do not provide tax, investment or regulated financial advice. Complex trusts, estates involving substantial tax planning, disputed capacity or undue-influence concerns may require a specialist regulated provider.

Whether an activity is reserved or separately regulated depends on the substance of the work, not merely the name used for the service. We therefore assess the requested task before accepting instructions.
