Family Court and consent-order boundary
These fees cover defined advice, negotiation, drafting and preparation tasks. Phrasing Ltd does not conduct Family Court litigation, go on the court record, file documents as your representative, prepare the final Family Court consent order for filing or exercise rights of audience. Where financial terms are agreed, Phrasing Legal can prepare heads of terms and a structured handover pack; the formal consent order, D81/application package and court filing should be undertaken through an appropriately authorised practice, which will quote separately.

Ordinary document certification is provided personally by Muhammad Arshed in his individual capacity as an SRA-regulated solicitor through Phrasing Legal. Phrasing Ltd is not an SRA-authorised law firm. Notarisation, apostille/legalisation, statutory declarations and administration of oaths remain separate and use an appropriate authorised provider.

If you choose to instruct the authorised provider, that provider will issue its own client-care documentation and quote separately.

Any fee for regulated immigration work is agreed directly between you and the authorised provider. It is not a Phrasing Ltd professional fee.
Reserved work signposting & authorised firm referrals
Phrasing Legal does not charge a separate referral fee merely for identifying or introducing an appropriately authorised provider. Where reserved or separately regulated work is required, any receiving law firm or other authorised provider issues its own client-care documentation and quotes separately.

Possible SRA-authorised referral routes include the separately regulated firms shown below, subject to client choice and the receiving firm’s independent acceptance.
What affects the final fee?
Document volume, urgency, complexity, the number of issues, additional conferences, negotiation work and tasks outside the agreed scope can affect the price. If the scope changes materially, we will normally agree a revised fee or budget before carrying out the additional work.
Third-party costs
Court fees, barristers’ fees, experts, process servers, translators, specialist reports and other third-party charges are not included unless expressly stated. Where appropriate, you may be asked to pay a third party directly.
Payment and cancellation
Consultations and fixed-fee tasks may require payment in advance. Any applicable consumer cancellation rights, and the consequences of asking us to begin work during a cancellation period, will be explained in the engagement terms where relevant.
A fixed fee has a fixed scope
A fixed fee covers the work identified in the written scope. It does not automatically include later correspondence, court filing, negotiation, a hearing, additional drafts or work created by new developments unless those items are expressly included.
PAYMENT OPTION
Advance-payment saving
A 10% saving may be available on eligible fixed-fee work paid in full before work begins, up to a maximum saving of £75.
- Available only after the scope and fixed fee are confirmed in writing.
- Applies to Phrasing Legal’s professional fee only.
- Excludes consultations, hourly work, VAT, disbursements and third-party charges.
- Excludes immigration and authorised-provider services.
- Cannot be combined with another offer.
- Cancellation and refund rights remain unaffected.
